Donnette Bufton &
Jo Pearce’
Donnette
Don't miss this vibrant Art Exhibition entitled ‘Donnette Bufton & Jo Pearce’ which opens at Morvah Schoolhouse on the 2nd May 2010.
Donnette Bufton's paintings are on canvas and board with textiles, fabric and acrylic to produce depth and texture and capture the dynamic natural line, form and colour of landscape, contrasted to other 'man made' features. Her emotional responses to all these elements are then reflected in her work. Donnette's photographs are based purely on instinct and a desire to share insights. She also travels to photograph and paint other 'wild' and remote areas in the UK and abroad.
Donnette is self taught and her work is drawn either from sketchbook drawings undertaken during field trips or photographs and/or memories of particular occasions to add and convey atmosphere and emotion. She loves living in West Cornwall and finds the area stimulating and challenging because of its very special light, diversity of landscape and the influence of other artists working and connected to the region.
Donnette has been working closely with the Cornish based Charity ACE Art to produce a range of greeting cards and 50% of proceeds of sale will go directly to assist their work in schools in Uganda. The cards are bright and colourful and suitable for all occasions - images and details are available on www.donnettebufton.co.uk, contact email donnette.bufton@virgin.net
